The rest of the day will be spent painting outdoors on the charming property of Mount Mary retreat\, with one-on-one instruction surrounded by scenic woods\, rolling grass hills\, hidden ponds and forest trails. Instruction will address painting principles such as tone\, colour\, form\, texture and composition. Demonstrations\, individual attention and encouragement will increase the student’s creative confidence and style\, while being briefly introduced to painting essentials including composition\, perspective\, landmark representation\, brush techniques\, colour mixing\, contrast and sense of depth. Students can choose to paint in either oils or acrylics. \nThis workshop is for the artist with some painting experience. Some review of the basic principles of painting will be covered while various techniques are suggested and explored.
