Dave Hind has just completed an amazing journey to Shanghai, China for the 2016 Jing’an International Sculpture Project (JISP). Alongside 24 artists from all over the world, Dave has created a beautiful installation, “Sisters”, that will be showcased in the park until November 20th. This exhibition has gained more and more exposure since its inception in 2010. Besides the on-site exhibition, many public activities are held to boost the public participation. The JISP was formed as a way to promote an interactive communication between public and art. The importance of “public art” is profound in China. It is not confined in an aesthetic scope, it’s a means to draw people together to appreciate human expression in these bold, beautiful pieces of art. There is a strong belief that art can belong to the public and that a greater harmony can be felt and souls can be enriched.

David Hand of the artist’s work followed a consistent creative ideas, will soon lose the perceived usefulness of garbage, combined with changes in the life cycle of the seasons, give them life again. Works “Hands”, a symbol of the real rather than the virtual world. They are a tribute to the work, but also the respect of nature, but also look at the natural world of beauty, magic and magic. The artist depicts the wonders of nature through the works of fantasy, a reminder of the “City Year change” should focus on protecting the growth of nature, harmony with nature.
