In early 2015 after painting for many years with strong references to reality, Maya Eventov ventured away from classical Russian art teachings into the adventurous realm of abstracts. Her paintings find comfort in reality but are aesthetically pleasing through the use of color, texture, and form. The interplay between these elements creates a harmonious composition. Evoking emotions or feelings, tranquility, excitement, or intrigue. In 2020 Maya Eventov brought the abstracts together with her marquee impasto reality and created the “Spectrum Series”.

We have had the pleasure of watching Maya transform and transition through different mediums and subject matter. From Watercolors to Oils and now Impasto Acrylics.
