My favourite times to walk on the beach are early in the morning as the sun is just coming up and later in the afternoon at sunset.

   People who live in the warmer climates near popular, sandy beaches love to watch sunsets and make an effort to not miss too many. One will often see a group gathering at sunset time on the waters edge waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon. They will applaud the open air, thankful for the glorious day and look forward to another one on the morrow.

   I had to wait for a long time for the sun to rise over the shore cliffs and strike this single wave with light. I immediately saw the subject for a painting for my waterscapes series.

   Yet another beautiful sight from the shore of Laguna Beach, California.
