Patricia Gagic Phantom Realm 48×36
Phantom Realm by Patricia Karen Gagic is an original oil on canvas measuring 48″ high × 36″ wide. The title is precise: this is a place seen at the edge of sight. A twilight sky settles over water that refuses to hold still, and in the middle of it a pale shape rises — part sail, part tower, part memory — before the mist closes around it again. Where Vortex Zoned storms, Phantom Realm hushes; it is one of the quietest, most atmospheric works in Gagic’s 2026 collection.
Original Abstract Oil Painting by Patricia Karen Gagic
The upper third belongs to the sky: bands of periwinkle and ultramarine blended wet-into-wet, a drift of violet, and one deep indigo mass pressing along the horizon like weather about to arrive. Beneath it a thin ember of amber and copper-rose light glows — the last of the day, or the first. The sea below is painted as veils rather than waves: long horizontal pulls of silver, pewter, and graphite that blur past each other the way things do through wind or tears. At the centre, a small white slab and a dark tower-like form surface briefly out of the mist, and a single tiny note of cobalt blue floats nearby, easy to miss and hard to forget once found.
Colour, Texture, and Technique
The palette is built on periwinkle blue, ultramarine, violet, silver-grey, and graphite, lit by an amber and copper-rose horizon and grounded in soft ivory. Gagic works the oil in seamless wet-into-wet gradients, dragging colour in long lateral passes so edges dissolve rather than end; in places the weave of the canvas shows through the thinnest veils, while the darker passages carry a satiny sheen that shifts with the room’s light. The painting is signed in red at the lower right.
Where This Artwork Works Best
At 48″ × 36″, Phantom Realm brings calm at scale. Its hushed blues and silvers suit a bedroom, a study, a living room that wants stillness rather than spectacle — and, as its office placement photo shows, it holds a meeting room or executive wall with quiet authority. It pairs naturally with grey and white walls, brushed metal, glass, and cool contemporary interiors, and it rewards a collector of Canadian contemporary abstraction who values atmosphere over noise.
