Robert Amirault Winter Ocean 16×20
In Nova Scotia there are webcams all over the province showing areas 24/7 that are unsafe to be near at certain times of the year. I frequently view the webcams at Peggy’s Cove that shows the landmark lighthouse.
Peggy’s Cove lighthouse is a dangerous place to be near in any storm. The waves have taken the lives of a number of individuals, who looking for a better view, get too close to the edge and are swept out to sea and drowned.
Last winter on one occasion I clicked on to the site and saw the remnants of an Atlantic storm and the rocks completely covered in snow. A rear sight to see.
Within minutes of watching the video the sky opened up. The sun lit up the strong, incoming wave and I saw something that I had to paint.
